Mr. Turin specializes in strategic financial leadership in public and private technology companies.   Currently he is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Energy Focus, Inc. (EFOI: NASDAQ), an innovative developer of LED Lighting Technology.  Previously he was CFO of Intematix, a leading provider of phosphor materials and phosphor enabled lighting solutions to the LED market, which was sold to a China-based LED joint venture.  Prior to that he was CFO of Oclaro (OCLR: NASDAQ), a global developer of optical components & solutions that executed a substantial industry roll up of industry players during his tenure.  Mr. Turin has also held financial leadership positions with Silicon Spice, a software rich semiconductor platform sold to Broadcom (AVGO: NASDAQ) in 2000, and Cirrus Logic (CRUS: NASDAQ), a diversified semiconductor company.  Mr. Turin began his career with 11 years at Deloitte & Touche, primarily in the Silicon Valley audit practice.

Mr. Turin has particular expertise in corporate strategy and financial execution through significant periods of M&A, fund raising, divestitures, strategic restructuring and cash flow management in companies with global markets, global operating footprints and global sources of strategic transactions and investment.

Mr. Turin was a 2011 finalist for Bay Area CFO of the Year in the $500 million public company category.  He has served on the CFO Advisory Council to the US Chamber of Commerce/Banking Industry Sponsored RMB Working Group (currently inactive), was a keynote speaker on a Governor Schwarzenegger/Bay Area Council Trade Mission to Shanghai, provided editorial input to Robert Sher’s 2014“on “Mighty Midsized Companies: How Leaders Overcome 7 Silent Growth Killers” and has been a member of the Alliance of Chief Executives since 2012.

Mr. Turin graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta in 1985 and is a CPA registered under the Alberta Institute in Canada.
